Although it is said that 8 glasses of water (1.9 litres) everyday is sufficient. However, to remain active, energetic, glowing and free from diseases, there is no limit to consumption of water that you should intake. Water is the best medicine for curing any disease in a man.

It is proved by researchers that by drinking water required by your body, a person tends to look 10 years younger than the actual age. It even reduces wrinkles and makes your skin glow.

As per Mayo clinic research, after eating food, it reaches the small intestine where the nutrients of the food like minerals, vitamins, fats, proteins and carbohydrates starts to reach the body. Consuming water after every meal is essential as it helps as a lubricant in the required nutrients to reach every part of the body.

Also, it is proved that hot water has no role to play in burning fat. All it does is giving you a feeling of fullness. Water, cold or hot should be consumed as per the weather.

However, to detoxify the body, luke warm water should be consumed. Hot water also reduces your hunger. But if you want to lose weight, you should keep drinking normal water all the time.

As per one study of American Chemical Society, if water is consumed prior to meals, it helps in the consumption of 90 calories less than usual. Continuing this regularly makes one lose around 2.25 kilograms a month.
