Here is a simple drink that can help melt fat and help you reach your weight loss goals more quickly. Simple ingredients, each of which play an important role in the metabolic process, ensures amazing results.
This super slimming drink is fast and effective, although it may be an acquired taste for some, there are specific and well proven reasons behind each of the three ingredients. The taste has been describes as ‘hot’ but persevere as the results can be seen in as little as a week.
Ground Chili Pepper: The main component in chilies is a chemical called Capsaicin, which is responsible for their intense heat. They have many healing properties. Chilies act as detoxifiers by efficiently removing waste products from our bodies and aid the digestion process helping to detox the the gastrointestinal tract. By boosting the digestion our metabolism increases in efficiency and boosts the process of fat burning. The heat from the dried chili peppers also raises our body temperature which in turn burns more calories.
Each type of chili pepper has different strengths as they have different levels of capsaicin, but buying a good organic ground chili pepper should ensure a good percentage. It will also turn this drink a range of different reddish tones.
Apple Juice: studies have shown that drinking moderate quantities of fresh apple juice can promote the dilution of fat.
Lemon: By adding organic lemons to our daily diet our digestive system works more efficiently by flushing out toxins and slowing down the body’s ability to store fat. The pectin fiber helps to curb the appetite naturally and fight hunger cravings. The peel is used during the process described below as it contains policosanol which will decrease cholesterol production in the liver and increase the break down of LDL (low-density lipoprotein or “bad”) cholesterol. * 1 tablespoon fresh organic apple juice
* 1 tablespoon ground chili pepper
* Lemon juice and lemon zest from 1 whole organic lemon
Peel the lemon using a zester or peeler.
Cover the peel in a bowl with 8oz of hot water.
Leave to steep for 10 minutes.
Cut the lemon in two and squeeze all the juice out.
Add the lemon juice, apple juice and ground chili pepper to the lemon peel/water mixture
Strain the mixture to remove the peel.
Stir the remaining liquid well before drinking.
This ideally should be consumed after every main meal i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The quantities above are for ONE drink. It can be made ahead of time in larger quantities but do not keep for longer than 2 days in the refrigerator or you will loose all the benefits.
