Cinnamon has been used as a natural remedy for many diseases centuries ago. You can buy it in any major store and add it to your daily diet. However you should be attentive with the amount that you take because it is not recommended taking it in bigger amounts. The best way to consume it is to add it to low-fat yogurt.
There are different health issues for which it is proven to help and it should be used in different ways for treatment of different conditions. The following are only some of them:
1. Consuming Cinnamon for Lowering Cholesterol
For this issue you should consume ½ teaspoon of cinnamon per day. Besides lowering cholesterol studies have proven that it can regulate blood sugar levels and prevent type 2 diabetes.
Cinnamon is often part of recipes of many cakes and sweet. Its power is even stronger when it is combines with some other ingredients including honey and yogurt. One of the healthiest drinks that you can prepare at home is yogurt with cinnamon and cereal fruit.
2. Consuming Cinnamon for Weight Loss
This diet of combination of yogurt and cinnamon lasts for 10 days.
If you want to try this out you should consume a mixture of 200 ml yogurt and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon every morning as substitution for your breakfast. As we mentioned before you can add some cereal fruit to this too.
For lunch you should take your regular meal, but make sure that you don’t eat too much.
In the evening you should again consume the mixture of yogurt and cinnamon. Make sure that you consume water in big amounts during this period.
