Eyelashes are beauty enhancers. The longer the eyelashes the more beautiful the eyes appear. But in today’s lifestyle trends, it is very difficult to have such beautiful and long eyelashes. In rare cases, there are no such problems of eyelashes, because most people are either genetically blessed with healthy eyelashes or their bodies are rich in all the essential minerals and vitamins.
Eyelash loss or madarosis (medical name for eyelash loss), is a condition where a person experiences profuse lash loss – some people end up having no lashes at all. Although it is not life-threatening, it can be frustrating and stressful.
Natural Remedies for Eyelash Growth
Proper eyelid cleansing
Carefully and thoroughly cleanse your eyelids, including the edges, to remove all oils that these termites feed on. You can use baby shampoo or any special cleansers to ensure that your eyelids are thoroughly cleansed.
Tea tree oil Treatment
Tea tree oil is one of the most popular ways to get rid of mites in eyelashes. Rub tea tree oil on your eyelashes every night for about six weeks and they will be long gone. Applying 5% tea tree oil cream/ointment daily to cover the skin around the lids can help to prevent mating and re-infestation.
Lavender Oil Treatment
It works under the same concept as the tea tree oil treatment. Apply lavender oil on the eyelids before going to sleep.
