This is a folk-remedy that was traditionally used by our grandparents, long before most modern lung medicines ever existed. Those who have tried it, claim that it is effective, while those who are skeptical about are free to try it, as there are no side-effects but only things to gain.

Making your own home-made remedy

What do you need (ingredients):

Lemon (2 of);
Pure maple syrup (2 cups of; or alternatively 1.1lbs of brown sugar);
Raw Honey (7 tablespoons of);
Red Onion ( 1.1lbs of);
Water (6 cups of).

How to prepare it (preparation):

First of all, peel and slice your onions nicely. Then, get a large frying pan and cook your maple syrup on medium heat, while stirring ( if you decided to use brown sugar instead, do the same but make sure you only cook it until it turns golden-brown). Add your onions, cook for five more minutes and then add your water. Continue cooking until most of your water evaporates and only a third of it is left in your pan. Afterwards, leave the paste to cool down.

Squeeze your lemons while you’re waiting for your paste to cool down. When it reaches your room’s temperature add your lemon juice and honey, but make sure it is well stirred. Leave your paste for one night, so all the ingredients can properly settle, and then make sure you drain any extra liquid and you are left with a thick paste. Transfer the paste into a glass container and store it in a cool, dry place.

How to use it:

Eat one tablespoon of your home-made medicine before every meal. Don’t stop your treatment until you feel that you have achieved your desired results. Make yourself another dosage if you happen to run out of medicine while you are doing this therapy.
