Vitamin E also helps to regulate and increase levels of vitamin A in the body. It also acts as an immune booster due to its antioxidant properties which is why doctors occasionally recommended Vitamin E to cataract patients.

Vitamin E also prevents hair loss. It stabilizes cell membranes in hair follicles contributing to hair growth. Because free radicals sometimes damage hair cells consumption of vitamin E rich foods is important to control this damage.
