Water is an honest beverage. It keeps us hydrated, burns calories and helps us avoid overeating. It is the healthiest beverage. But believe it or not, more water isn’t a good idea always. Here are 4 instances where you should not be drinking water:
When you are drinking water too much
Drinking too much water can also put your health at risk. Chugging a lot of water can disrupt your body’s natural balance of salt, causing low sodium environment and leading to a condition called hyponatremia. This leads to cell swelling resulting in vomiting, nausea and seizures.
But hyponatremia can also be caused by certain tissues such as heart, kidney, and liver and medicines such as antidepressants and pain medications.
When your pee is clear
Forget the 8 glasses rule and take a look at your pee. A clear urine means you need to cut back on your water intake.
