Calcium

Calcium is important for our body as it helps in maintaining the strength of our bones. A cup of fortified soy milk can provide us with ~300 mg of calcium according to the Soyfoods Association of North America.

Soy milk is a rich source of various minerals like iron, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, zinc and sodium. It also supplies us with important vitamins like thiamine, folate, niacin, riboflavin, vitamin D, E, K, B6 and B12.

Lactose-intolerant people are not able to digest the lactose (milk sugar) present in cow’s milk and experience problems like bloating, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. Such people can go for soymilk as soybean are completely free from lactose, unlike cow’s milk.

Zero cholesterol

Yes, it has no cholesterol! What can be more beneficial for your heart and vascular health than consuming something which has no cholesterol?

This is another quality which makes soy milk beneficial for heart health. Soy milk has little or no saturated fats (harmful fats).
