
Edema or water retention is the fluid accumulation in the cavities, tissues and circulatory system. It can cause swelling in the legs, ankles, feet and hands and it usually appears to women the period before pregnancy or during pregnancy. It can also appear in those who aren’t physically active or those who take medications for a prolonged time because of sedentary lifestyle.
